Pedros Malayan (1927-1997)

Gallery Kazandjian is proud to open with the works of one of Armenia’s most accomplished artists, Pedros Malayan. Malayan worked with a variety of materials and methods, and Gallery Kazandjian will initially offer a collection of 10 of his ‘aquarelles’ (watercolours) from the 1970s & 1980s.

The selection, although small, shows the range of style and sheer skill that Malayan brought to his art. Gallery Kazandjian will offer a further selection of Malayan’s work in the future, and are working in collaboration with the artist's talented son, Ruben Malayan, to provide the magical “David of Sassun” range of illustrations, created by Pedros Malayan in the 1960s.
